Atrix Pentaplex DVR w/ 500GB HDD

This series DVR is a 4-channel playback H.264 main profile stand alone DVR with Pentaplex function: record, playback, live preview, remote preview and backup supported. The beauty of the stand-alone DVR system lies in the fact that it comes with its own embedded operating software, eliminating any dependency on Windows or Linux, as most PC-based DVR systems do.

Additionally, there are several ways to control the DVR, including the Front Panel Operation, the Mouse Operation, the Remote Controller Operation and the Client IE Web Operation. Front panel and Remote controller operations are similar in that they use similar button designations to perform the same operations. Obviously, the Remote Controller is more convenient as you can stand back away from the DVR while entering commands, while operating the Front panel requires you to be within arm's length.

You can also attach a mouse to the system (included), making it easier for those who are accustomed to operating a computer. Selecting mouse options will be straight forward using traditional mouse operation, with the left and right buttons performing distinct functions.

Anonymous User on 5/1/2012, said: My system has been up and running for about 5 weeks now..Had a problem with the camera's being too sensitive but found you can adjust the sensitivity by clicking on the system settings then on the alarm alert then click on motion..There you can set each camera to a different setting..The factory setting are set at 4 but if the cameras are outside setting 7 or 8 will give you very few alarms (except when it's windy)..Otherwise the system is great..... If a bug or dust particles pass in front of the camera lenses it gets recorded.If it rains for 2 or 3 hours you just recorded 3 hours of rain drops.Called the "Home Security Tec" support people and there's nothing they can do. It's always visible (unlike using a system linked to the computer, interupted visual)excellent optics, especially night. When it first turns dark outside, the screen visuals are still bright & clear. The cameras are so clear they pick up a light mist which looks like bugs. You can see the drier vent air coming around the corner of the house on cooler nights. Easy to set up & set. Micro adjustments on the camera base lets you fine tune the aim. Daytime viewing shows 200'...identify personal features at 50'. Worth the money, i was looking for something in the $400 range, glad that i stepped up. With 4 cameras, you get a 5"x 8" picture x four on the screen (remember the more cameras...the bigger the screen you'll need to view). I got a quote from a security company that was $5,000. Someone told me about this system and I figured I could wire and install it myself because the house was being built. EXTREMELY EASY to set up and wire. They even have decals so you can't make a mistake. The image quality is good enough. DVR System is user friendly. When it came time to set up the internet access, the directions were a little over my head. I called the technical support directly and talked with their technical support area: They linked into my computer and I watched him set up a web address for me and also set my cameras up . I would highly recommend buying this system or another made by Atrix. It was about the only thing that went right with building my beach house!
