The wall-mounted wireless TouchTalk 2-Way RF Touchpad combines a conventional ITI Learn Mode touchpad with an RF receiver, speech chip with 212-word vocabulary, and voice amplification. I ordered this with the Simon XT kit and could not get it registered with the control unit. Called tech support and was informed that it was not compatible. They did issue an RMA number and I returned it.

This remote keypad works as advertised and performs much like the control panel. Note that the Item # 60-924-3 shown in the online catalog is now actually the QS-1500 with an Item # 60-924-3-01. That is, order Item # 60-924-3 and you will receive Item # 60-924-3-01. This replacement item can alarm, disarm, turn lights on and off, and chimes (programmable option) when any sensor is triggered in the disarmed mode.

This unit works well and is an excellent addition to a master bedroom, main or secondary entry where you want the Simon 3 panel away from easy access. Note: There are apparently two slightly different part numbers for the 2-way wireless keypads: 60-924-3 and 60-924-3-01. The '-01' model is the QS-1500 and with the Simon 3 panel it can be set to essentially mimic all the sounds the panel makes (arming/disarming beeps, chiming etc.). The model without the '-01' will only beep or talk to you if you are pushing its buttons. Depending on your application you may want either one although the extent of voice/beep mimicry can be shut off with the '-01' model if you want (e.g. to extend battery life). The '-01' model is available by special order at the same price (US$99 )

The whole purpose of getting this device is to keep the Control Panel away from the bad guys during a break in. The panel is easy to use and talks to you..It is about 70 feet from the panel and no problems.
