I've had this system in place for about two months and I am very pleased with it. Installation was very straight forward, however the user manual leaves much to be desired, as it is a poor translation to English. If the manual was better I would have given this system 5 stars. It took quite a bit of experimenting with the various menu settings to get the DVR and cameras to perform the way I want. And while I was able to easily set up remote view on a Windows XP computer, I had a lot of difficulty getting remote view to work on a Windows 7, IE-11 computer. In the end, I now have a system that records on motion detection, sends text message alerts and can be viewed on any of my Apple iOS devices as well as from any Internet connected computer using Internet Explorer. The best tip I can offer is to have patience. If you have trouble getting the remote view Active X control to work, disable all Internet Explorer toolbars, pop-up blockers and reset IE to default settings. I have found the best iOS app for this DVR to be "KWeye", which is available free from the App Store.

I brought this to replace the cheap surveillance system that I got from a store. This system is way better then my old one. Easy setup, they have a function called auto ID that I don't need to register an account with a third party service provider. This auto ID connects my system with the Internet easily. The cameras are great, sturdy. My old system from night owl came with cheesy cameras that broke in two months. The staff from this web store was very helpful, they helped me setup the iPhone connection patiently, I appreciate it.

I had real good experience with this. It was a little tricky to get the access from external internet location and my iPhone to work, but it does work now and it is sweet! I had to get a "Geek Squad" guy to come out and help me forward ports on my router because I was too confused which to forward. Also, the iPhone app suggested in the manual is not current, but customer service was very helpful and the new app works fine. They just need to update the manual. Also, you can set it up so a password is needed to view the cameras. I called tech support at both Atrix and Home Security Store and both calls I got to a real tech with no hold time at all.

This unit is great! I love it. Easy setup & config. Great tech support. This system has already paid for itself. I caught a thief with this camera system in 2 months after install. It was a neighbor stealing from us at night (3 times all captured on video). Video quality at night- Cops had no problem getting positive ID of the thief. He has been prosecuted which is awesome! I highly recommend this unit. The software is also user friendly with lot's of detailed options. I have not setup the remote viewing yet.

I have installed two of their security systems in my homes and they are great so I assumed that this system would be as good, installed the system two months ago, one broken camera but they replaced it, sets up quickly no real problems. However I wanted to view it remotely, spoke with tech support twice, they sent me some links, even paid for the PC Config program (worthless-they won't answer the phone) to forward the port, it still is unable to be viewed remotely, then I discovered that there is no security software to prevent anyone from viewing my cameras, all they have to do is to type in http://192.... This really gives me the creeps. Find a system that has an actual viewing program that requires a password. Disappointed.

I got this system a month ago, it was easy to put up in my house. The cameras design was great, it hide the cable within it's bracket. The machine was user friendly and easy to connect to my Iphone. I am satisfied.

I got this surveillance system because I felt uneasy about going on a long vacation without anyone to watch my house while my family and I were away. Both my husband and I installed the system in ourselves. We had a little trouble figuring out the ins-and-outs of things, but we called Customer Service and the tech support helped walk us through the whole process even though we called way after business hours. Since then, the system has been working great and we've had no problems with it. I would highly recommend this system!

This is a great system, I had it on more then a month and it perform excellent. I put it in my restaurant which I installed another system (the brand "Q-XXX")couple months ago. When compare these two systems, the Atrix one was awesome. Clear images, friendly use playback and backup, and great infrared images. The Iphone feature is sweeet...I use this system to replace the other one.

Never having a camera security system led me to purchase this one. Not knowing the price / quality ratio on these types of systems left me guessing when ordering. Now that I've had it a little over a month - here's what I've seen. 1: After 2 weeks, I've received no response from customer service / support about some questions. Maybe they didn't receive it from their support page. 2: It came with one bad cable. 3: The cameras seem to be okay, but I haven't tried them outside yet - checking for fogging, etc. 4: The processor in this system is just too slow - period. If you try to record more than 2 cameras, processing power is not there. You can't even get the mouse to respond on the local screen without it doing jerk and hesitate response. 5: It doesn't give the correct media size for backups. Hopefully, this will help someone on their future purchase.
