The 40218 Maxsa Solar Motion Activated Security Light is the PERFECT solution for the environmentally conscious, or those who can't endure the burden of extra monthly charges, because it is completely SOLAR POWERED and therefore requires absolutely no wiring or electrician for installation.
Complete with a 9-foot cable, the adjustable solar panel is made to fit any flat or angled rooftop, where its battery charges during the day and remains powered during the night.
The headlights are ideal for placing on any decks, patios, garages, driveways, backyards, farm sheds, and even RV's, and are equipped with a PIR Motion-Activated-Sensor that can detect objects within a 180deg. horizontal angle and a distance of up to 40 feet, triggering the lights upon doing so.
Any fear of false alarms can be eliminated, however, as the motion sensor carries with it a Motion-Sensitivity-Dial that prevents the unit from triggering with passing pets or wind.
Further adding to the unit's user friendly interface is the Time-Dial that allows you to choose how long you'd like the unit's lights to stay on when triggered.
How it Works
Throughout the day, the solar charge panel converts direct sunlight into electricity to charge the battery inside the light. When charged in full sunlight, the Solar Security Light can activate up to 300 times when on for 1 minute at a time.
