Greater Protection. Complete Security
How would you like to offer your customers a security system that provides complete security via a host of devices, including keypads, sirens, detectors and wireless keys, and also supports GSM and IP communications - all of it wirelessly? DSC's 2-Way Wireless Security Suite delivers just that…and so much more.

The Power of Speed with Wireless Installation
The Alexor Wireless Panel is the center component of DSC's 2-Way Wireless Security Suite. Because it operates completely wirelessly, installers have fewer holes to drill and fewer wires to pull. The system - with its full complement of exclusively compatible wireless accessories, detectors and keypads - takes far less time to install than traditional wired or hybrid systems. Less installation time means more installations completed throughout each day and ultimately more installation and monitoring revenue to the installer. Homeowners also benefit. Wireless installation means less waiting around and minimal compromise to the home structure.

Security Without Compromise
Alexor is a wireless control panel, the virtual "brain" of the security suite. Because it is a distributed system, the panel is not attached to the keypad physically, but rather wirelessly. Designed for flexible, secure installation locations within the home, as long as there is access to AC power, Alexor operates via up to four wire-free keypads (the WT5500). If the system changes its armed state or a wireless device is tampered with, Alexor will immediately be signaled and the appropriate transmission will instantly be transmitted to the monitoring station. And because the signals between Alexor Wireless Panel and its wireless peripherals are fully encrypted, communication between all devices is exceptionally secure. The Alexor offers all the reliability of traditional wired/hybrid control panels but with all the convenience that wireless delivers.

Additional Back-up Features via GSM/GPRS and IP Communication Streams
DSC has designed two back-up communicators specifically for Alexor. The TL265GS Internet and GSM/GPRS Dual-Path Alarm Communicator communicates via the IP or GSM/GPRS channels, and the GS2065 GSM/GPRS Wireless Alarm Communicator through the GSM/GPRS channel. Both provide additional back-up (to the traditional phone line communication) alarm communication methods. If the phone line is tampered with, Alexor will instantly switch over to one of the back-up communication streams for its alarm signals. These options are also ideal for homes that rely on either Voice Over IP (VoIP) or mobile phones for their home phone service. With a practically plug-in and play connection to the Alexor, the communicators conveniently utilize the existing Internet connection and/or the GPRS data channel of the GSM network (depending on which communicator is chosen) to ensure high speed, reliable and secure alarm communications. Wireless Device Enrollment & Template Programming Further Simplify Installation DSC's installation processes and programming help to further reduce the installer's time at each job. The wireless device enrollment process ensures that installers no longer need to manually program serial numbers or wireless attributes. Instead, a series of enrollment screens prompt installers to confirm Electronic Serial Numbers (ESN), zone numbers and zone type. Template programming allows installers to quickly program the functions required for basic operation by entering a 4-digit code. Code prompts exist for predefined zone definitions, reporting code formats, communication call directions, and DLS setup.

Good security system and REALLY easy to install. Telephone support was outstanding when I encountered a problem initializing system and called for help.

Great alarm system. I am a novice when it comes to electronics and the system was fairly easy to set up. It can get a bit complicated if you try to venture into the advanced features , but the basic functions aren't too bad. I've had this system for about a year and it seems to be be very reliable.

I wanted an alarm system that was easy to install without any wires. I would've never gotten this thing installed without the help of tech support. The instruction manual was definitely designed for someone who has experience with alarm systems. I love the idea of having the brains of the system separated from the keypad. With this design, if someone smashes the keypad the alarm signal will still go through. The only thing that I didn't like is that the motion detectors only send a signal to the control panel every three minutes, which means that if the intruder manages to get in without tripping a perimeter alarm, it could potentially take three minutes before the alarm is triggered.

This was my first system to install. The user manual is very understandable for the most part. It wasn't really very much trouble installing the system and the contacts and motion detector installation was a snap. I added a LOUD alarm wired through a relay and it worked perfectly. There were a couple it programming items that I had trouble with. The technicians were very helpful and capable. I would recommend this system to anyone. I also used Alarm Relay to monitor the system and they are very helpful and friendly. I would recommend them as well. I know that this rating sounds a little too good to be true but its not. This system is really good and easy. Jamesf

The installation manual is NOT user friendly at all, but the system is very good. It has NO voice dialer and when the alarm call your cell phone all you hear is an open line or static... :(

I LOVE THIS SYSTEM. IT WORKS PERFECTLY AND IS TOTALLY EASY TO USE ALTHOUGH IT TOOK HELP FROM THE COMPANY TO SET IT UP. THEY WERE EXPERTS AT IT AND IT CODED UP JUST FINE. I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW AND IT HAS NEVER FAILED. BUT, NOW THE BATTERY IS GONE AND I HAVE TO BUY A NEW ONE. BUT THE SYSTEM IS TERRIFIC.

This is my first DIY alarm system, took me about a day to understand the manual as it wasn't too beginner friendly, the system itself was not too difficult to setup, after enrolling the first few sensor/siren/remotes the rest are about the same. the wireless siren is about as loud as my dryer's buzzer, annoying at most but cannot be heard from outside, the one on the panel is something i turn off right away as i want the panel to be out of sight and in a secure spot only wish DSC will come out with PIR and sirens that allow users to plug in an external power source

Wonderfull system to replace my old, all in one unit. I love that you can hide the panel out of site. Know simple things before buying this unit like how to strip and install wires. You need to buy your own cable to power the unit; The transformer is privided (as seen in the picture) Installation was easy, and programming was not a problem. You WILL want an additional siren regardless of the size of your home. The one equipted on the panel is not very loud. I ordered a 13 watt hardwired siren from DSC (the same siren they use in the hardwired alarm systems) Did have to put a transformer insode the panel because there was not enough power going to the siren. Now my alarm relly has a loud punch to it compared to the add on wireless sirens. I have my unit monitered through Alarm Relay. It's $8.95 a month, but you pay yearly; so around $107 a year. They're very friendly and someone always answers within 1-3 rings. Both are highly reccomended!!

I'm absolutely in love with the Alexor line by DSC!! While the installation manual may seem cryptic at first, once you figure it out its much easier to program than other traditional systems i've used/ bought in the past. Alexor offers an innovative set of features for the price. For example: Prox Card which typically is only used in commercial applications and businesses, also there is a self arming feature (read your manual). I love that feature cause it means our system is armed at all times when none of our employees are present. Alexor has been indispensable to me and my business. I can certainly appreciate multiple prox card users, plus individual codes for some of our crucial staff and managers. Alexor has full expandability such as glass break protection to add to your Alexor system. Alexor has the look and feel of commercial grade units and is definetely a system worthy of having the tech/ being up to date for 2010. All in all, I couldnt be more thrilled with Alexor and the prompt delivery from the Home Security Store. A+ guys!

I love the Alexor System. Just like the promo video advertises, the Alexor removes the limitations of a typical all in one wireless security system. I have the control panel installed in a secured closet. I like this system in particular because of the wireless functionality. Other systems do not even compare like Alexor. Alexor offers full expandability and the components have a commercial quality in feel and use. The keypads are very high in quality. Each has a fully back lit display with a light sensor. Note: the Keypads are not illuminated at all times, if you prefer that make sure you get a table mounted unit with AC adapter. I also love Alexor because it allows multiple sirens. Burglars will have no idea where you have control unit mounted cause it can be placed in any location in your home. The sirens themselves are loud, however I recommend getting another one in addition to the one that comes with the control unit. Overall love my purchase!

Great system easy setup. I have installed two of these systems and found it quick and easy. They are very reliable. I would suggest the purchase of an extra siren for the interior and the exterior. the built in siren is not very loud and will not be able to notify others outside the house of an alarm.

I would highly recommend both the Home Security Store and the DSC Alexor. I downloaded the install guide and studied up while my new system was in transit. The programming is not as bad as some people say. It does require learning some new concepts such as the different types of "zones", but that is true with any system. The hardware has a excellent fit and finish and feels "commercial" in quality. I used the "plunger" door sensors and would recommend them also.... completely hidden door sensors!

I’ve owned the Alexor for several months with no problems. The install was fairly easy, although using a short wire (drilled through the mouldings) to connect the reed switch with the transmitter was time consuming. I was able to make a nice clean installation. Programming was cryptic, but user forums were very helpful and I was able to customize my system. Once you know the logic of DSC, programming is easy. Build quality on all DSC components is excellent, it feels like quality. But there are a few dings against DSC. First off, the DSC accessories are very expensive and it looks like we’re just paying for the brand name, compare with PowerMax. The wireless sirens are not very loud so I purchased two. Unless the keypads are AC powered, the display is always off so you can’t tell whether the system is armed or not. Alexor doesn’t have X-10 support. The Internet/GSM option is half-baked, and Internet access is expensive and clumsy. You have to sign up with a third party, Connect 24, pay them a monthly fee (apart from your monitoring fee) just to get access to the Alexor. Internet access to the alarm should be built in and free (PowerMax). Even my $75 web camera has Internet access. Don’t get me wrong, I’m satisfied with the Alexor, I just hope they can add more features and catch up with other wireless alarm systems. And as a side-note, I’ve very satisfied with the Home Security Store. Their shipping was fast and free, and I had a couple of returns and it was easy and pain-free.

Installed and programmed a whole house in an afternoon. The only catch was that I mistakenly ordered KIT495-12CP01 along with a few PT4 proximity tags, but the WT5500 panel that comes with this kit doesn't include a proximity tag reader. If you want to configure proximity tag access, check that you're getting the WT5500P control panel (available separately or with the KIT495-14CP01 kit).

I wanted to replace an old Ademco system that I had in my home. I spent alot of time searching through various systems before choosing this Alexor wireless system. I agree with the other comments, the manual needs a bit of updating or at least include a section for the DIYer! However, the wireless setup part is totally simple. Once in that mode, it was a breeze to activate each sensor, keyless entry, etc. The range is awesome too. My main reason for an upgrade was I wanted to include protection for a new storage shed I had installed. It worked! Having a completey wireless system is quite nice! The install was simple and when I want to add on to it, it will be a snap.

This alarm is awesome! Installation is simple once you decipher the installer's manual. The key is to read it over section by section until each step is clear. It is definitely written for an alarm installer, however anyone with the intelligence level above that of a functioning moron should be able to handle it. It is a very versatile alarm with a multitude of options and the ability to add many wireless devices as well as 2 zones that can be hard wired as inputs or outputs for larger exterior sirens or strobes. I find the range of the wireless sensors to be excellent and they communicate perfectly with the base. I would absolutely recommend this alarm to anyone. Hope this helps. Good luck.

The Alexor system is outstanding. The wireless sensors were easy to install and all worked on the first try. The installer manual could be re-written to make it a bit easier to understand but I know it's designed for a professional installer not the average DIYer. You'll need to read the manual several times to understand DSC's alarm programming terminology but once you get used to it makes changes is easy. All the accessory components I ordered were well made and came with batteries which was convenient. Shipping was extremely fast and I was very pleased with the Home Security Store.
