It works. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way. Someone left one in our copy room and having no idea what it was, seeing the black "clicker" I pushed down and got a face, neck and chest full of pepper spray. Had to go home and change clothes and almost 3 hours later, I'm still on fire. You have a great product, but for someone who had no idea what they were dealing with, it was a painful demonstration.
