Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensor The DS 924 motion sensor with ITI transmitter motion sensor detects infrared energy given off by persons in a secured area. An alarm is signaled only when the sensor is armed and the viewed energy has the correct temperature, motion, and timing associated with an intruder, thus safeguarding against false alarms. Features: A wall tamper causes an alarm if the sensor is removed. 3-minute lockout timer extends battery life. Wall-mounting bracket.

The DS 924 motion sensor with ITI transmitter motion sensor detects infrared energy given off by persons in a secured area. An alarm is signaled only when the sensor is armed and the viewed energy has the correct temperature, motion, and timing associated with an intruder, thus safeguarding against false alarms. The sensor uses fresnel lenses to provide a choice of seven different coverage patterns, including a pattern to protect against activation by pets.

This is a great motion sensor. I have had it for 2 years, and have never received a false alarm. Excellent product. The only downfall is this does not use everday batteries, it uses less common ones. But they can easily be purchased. The batteries last for years however.
