The B1363TIR - Hi-Res Vari-Focal IR Bullet Camera is a member of the Ultimate Bullet camera series by Digital Watchdog (DW). The camera shoots in color and can see in the dark 100 feet away, plus it has a built-in heater and joystick. The B1363TIR is used by casinos, schools, banks, law-enforcement, retailers, and savvy homeowners

The B1363TIR camera features an attractive grey design that includes DW’s patent pending No Fog and No Condensation circuit, which means there will be absolutely no fog or condensation under any weather condition.

Enclosed within the camera is a Sony HAD CCD image sensor, which guarantees long term color sensitivity and produces a picture with clarity for both day and night. There are 540 TV lines of resolution and a 3.3 – 12 mm vari-focal auto iris lens, making for a great shot at any angle. You can also externally control the zoom and focus of the camera.

The B1363TIR is also part of DW’s Starlight Series line of products which are designed for more light sensitive security applications. The camera is equipped with a Digital Slow Shutter (DSS) feature that increases the length of time the shutter remains open so it can collect ambient light, therefore illuminating typically dark environments.

The B1363TIR weighs just over 2 pounds and comes with a 5 year manufacturer warranty.
It has a 3 dimensional simple positioning bracket that you can detach from the camera for easy camera installation. Also included in the Security Camera kit is mounting hardware, a paper mounting template, and a small service port monitor output device.

I posted the review on 1/15/2011. Now, almost two years later this camera's performance continues to deteriorate. The image has become progressively foggy. I have cleaned the lens and tried to refocus it but to no avail. Now the night mode pulsates bright, rests on normal, then darkens. If I could give no stars I would. Very disappointed, especially for how much it cost. HSS needs to get these off their site.

I bought one of these because they sounded really good (before the ratings were posted). I also bought the 613s like the other reviewer and I have to agree, this camera is not any better than the 613 but cost more than twice as much. It does the job, it just doesn't anything special for the price difference.

OK but I can't tell a significant difference over the HSCMR613 - Lasertech IR Vari-Focal Bullet Camera w/ 2.8-10mm Lens to justify the expense.

I bought 5 of these cameras and they initially worked with no problems for about 1 month. Then they all started making a continous slow to fast clicking sound. A check of the video output would show a picture that is jumping all over, from color to black and white. The issue is that these camera's don't properly switch out of night (IR) mode. I called HSS tech support thinking maybe the camera's needed an adjustment, and they said to just return them. So after 2 weeks of bench testing by HSS, they say there's nothing wrong with the camera's. Because I bought such a large Surveilance system, it took me a while to get it installed, so I exceeded the refund period. HSS as a 'courtesy' replaced my camera's with some from their stock. I'm not happy with them and would've rather a complete refund. Best of luck to you if you decide to purchase this camera.

I bought 4 cameras and they all work awesome... This product is one of a kind.. Great for night vision as well as day vision... The only thing that you can not do from the dvr is zoom capabilities.. its all done manuel which kinda stinks... and they only bad thing is, that there are no manuel on cameras.
