This Wireless Alert System combines two of the hottest products on the market. First you have the wireless transmitter that uses an infrared beam to detect people or vehicles up to a distance of 80 feet. Then you have the wireless portable receiver that receives the radio signal. The receiver can work up to 600 feet away allowing you to be mobile and still be aware of your monitored area. The pager/receiver is extremely compact at only 2.5in x 1.25in x .75in. It has a large, clear, and easy to read LCD display, that is used for it's logging and date and time stamp features.
The WMT-PR3000 includes the WMT-3000 transmitter and the PR-3000 portable receiver.
Transmitter
The WMT-3000 transmitter is used with the Dakota Alert WR-3000 receiver. The WMT-3000 transmitter uses a passive infrared (PIR) detector to detect people, vehicles or large animals at the monitored location. When the transmitter detects an object, it will send a signal to the receiver, which will sound one of four different tones (Classical, Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, or Whistle) for a few seconds. The transmitter can be used as a driveway alarm, or in the back yard to monitor around tool sheds or patios.
Receiver
The PR-3000 receiver is compatible with all Dakota Alert 3000 Series transmitters (WMT-3000, WPT-3000, WHT-3000, UT-3000, and IR-3000). The PR-3000 is capable of receiving and storing alert signals from four zones. When a signal is received, the zone will be displayed on the LCD screen and the receiver can be set to give an audible tone or a silent vibrate alert. Each zone can store up to 400 events with a time and date stamp or up to 999 events without a time and date stamp. The PR-3000 is powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery which will hold a charge for up to 10 days.
