On the Vista 20P panel you will need to enable hardware address 17 for the CE3 to be incorporated into the system. Also, if you change the panel master code after installing the CE3 you will need to reinstall all user codes, including the CE3. The panic alarm on the CE3 keyfob will activate zone 99 which must be programmed active in *56 and programmed active on the keypad *57. You can figure all this out from the programming manual and instruction manual for the CE3; but you need to read it several times to understand it. For the Vista panel, this device is NOT plug and play as advertised in the video. However, once programmed correctly, the device works very well. There are two relays in the CE3 controller that the keyfob buttons C and D will control. The range is good, reliable from at least 100 ft. The indicator LED is also a good feature; if the LED is located in a discrete location on an internal wall (it can be installed anywhere you can run a wire in your house), you can read the alarm condition through a window as you drive up. The LED also allows you to confirm that the system is armed properly. For those of us who will return to make sure the iron is off, the LED is great. (Posted on 6/16/13)
