Details

The GE Interlogix Wireless ShatterPro Series provides excellent false alarm immunity without compromising detection. It is ideal for applications where hard wired acoustic sensors are impractical. Its 20 foot radius range can protect an entire room with one sensor and it recognizes the actual pattern of glass breaking across the full audio band. The ShatterPro is simple to test: Just clap your hands to know it is functioning correctly.

I bought this. The clap test feature is nice. You don't know if it works unless you smash your window or buy the tester. But the clap test gives you some piece of mind that the mic is working. The only thing I didn't like about it was there were no predrilled holes for mounting. So I decided to use the double sided tape they provided and its not thick enough. After three days it fell down. So I drilled my own holes but you have to use the circuit board standoff holes (two of them), so use a long bit and be careful to not crush the tiny circuit board with your drill once you drill through. You can clap your hands in the vicinity of the sensor to test its sensitivity, but unless your going to break a window, you have to just have "faith" that it will really work when needed. I have one on my system. It has not needed to prove itself yet. (Posted on 10/20/12)
