Continuing in the proud tradition of the Bravo series of PIRs, Digital Bravo 3 incorporates all the key attributes of Bravo 3 while elevating the detection capabilities and false alarm prevention features to a new level of reliability through the use of the most advanced technology in motion detection ?digital technology.
Digital technology provides superior analysis of a detected signal because the digital information can be more accurately analyzed with software, and is not subject to signal degradation caused by amplification, noise, distortion or signal clipping. In addition, it results in more reliable circuitry requiring less power than the conventional Bravo3 (10% lower in the alarm state).
Accurate Detection
Using the analytical precision attainable only with digital technology and patented multi-level signal processing, Digital Bravo 3 is smarter than its analog counterpart and is more accurate in detecting human motion over a temperature range of 32°F (0°C) to 122°F (50°C). It achieves this improved performance by utilizing two distinct series of operational parameters. When Digital Bravo 3 senses that the environmental temperature is within a specified range of normal human body temperature, it automatically switches to the more sensitive series of operational parameters ensuring accurate and consistent catch performance. And this performance is achieved with a reduction in false alarms at higher temperatures.
False Alarm Immunity
Digital Bravo 3 works just as precisely to prevent false alarms as it does to catch an intruder. With smarter microprocessors, unique multi-level signal processing and carefully positioned transient/static suppressors, Digital Bravo 3 assures outstanding protection against all false alarm sources?lightning, power surges, static, radio interference, car headlights, fluorescent lights, insects and dust.
Digital Bravo3 Long-Range PIR
is recommended for larger residential, commercial & industrial installations that require extended range sensing in high temperature environments without compromise in accuracy.
The contractor shall provide infra-red motion detectors in the areas specified on the drawings. Contractor shall be responsible for determining the best mounting location in each area to provide full coverage while minimizing false alarms. Wall mount detectors shall in addition be ceiling, or corner mountable, and shall share common mounting brackets so that they are interchangeable. Mounting position shall be adjustable both vertically and horizontally so that final position may be fine tuned as required during walk-testing.
In areas subject to high environmental temperatures, the detector shall be microprocessor controlled and software driven. It shall digitally analyze the PIR signal and use Multi-Level Signal Processing (MLSP) for accurate detection. In addition, it shall also utilize digital temperature compensation and two auto-selected operational modes to provide consistent detection across it's entire operational temperature range. The detector shall have high immunity to false alarms from RF, static, and electric transients. Detectors shall have 4 interchangeable lenses to provide 50' L x 60' W (15.2 x 18.3 m) wall to wall coverage with or without pet alley, 120' L x 10.5' W (36.6 x 3.2 m) corridor coverage, and 50'L x 4.4' W (15.2 x 1.3 m) curtain coverage.
